Kristen, along with Emily Posner, presented Ronald Marshall—their former client and now colleague and friend—with the Louisiana Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers’ President’s Appreciation Award.

Ronald was highlighted for his policy work with Voice of the Experienced (VOTE) in the Louisiana Legislature. As Kristen told the crowd of criminal defense lawyers and policymakers, Ronald’s spirit is infectious; his grit inspired. In just two years since his release, he has made waves in the Louisiana legislature and has written, defended, and passed bills.
