Kristen joined the Honorable Jay Zainey to present "Federal Practice Tips for Young Lawyers" at the New Orleans Federal Bar Association's Morning at the Federal Courthouse program for new lawyers. Judge Zainey and Kristen compared practicing in state and federal courts, discussed the roles of district and magistrate judges, and gave tips on best practices for written advocacy in federal court. The crux of the presentation, however, was how young lawyers can engage their "lawyer power" to help their communities, especially those who face barriers to accessing legal representation.
